On August the 19th we held our annual Summer Fayre, an event that residents and their families always look forward to, as do the staff.
Our local Mayor, Mr Balla Nair, kindly agreed to open the event and met several of our residents. He also awarded our cook Janice Slowther her Akari star – congrats to Janice!
We had a really good turnout on the day, with people enjoying shoping at our stalls, eating, drinking, playing games, enjoying the music and generally having a good time.
The Ice cream van arrived early – no complaints there! – followed shortly after by the fire brigade.
The highlight of the day was probably having our Manager Tracey in the stocks!
We managed to get some new people from the community, as well as family members, to visit our Home and find out more about us. Meanwhile, we raised a healthy £785 for the residents’ fund!
A successful day!
