So why is a Cup Cake called a Cupcake?

Here at Cartrefle we’re always on the lookout for having a bit of fun, and if we can combine it with helping out a good cause, so much the better!

A good opportunity presented itself with the Alzheimer's Society Cupcake Day, which we added a bit of extra zest to with some games, and, of course, cupcakes!

It was a great day, and we even learnt the meaning of cupcakes.  One of our residents showed us a ‘real’ cupcake by placing the cake in her cup.  Makes sense!

We enjoyed games of balloon tennis and ‘guess the number of sprinkles’, along with a lovely cup of tea and a cupcake.

We raised £20 from Staff on duty and a contractor even got roped in whilst he was on site!
