On Thursday 9th February 2017 Rita Clark Talk and Listen Support Worker, Helen Mitchell Activities Organiser made resident Doris Beaney’s wish come true.
Doris has always been happy with her life and has never wanted anything else except a posh high tea with her friends and daughters.
With the help of her daughters Judith and Jennifer this was arranged for her as a surprise. Doris’s friends, fellow residents Margaret and Isabella, joined her for her special day.
Doris wanted red salmon sandwiches. This was a must! They also enjoyed a selection of other fillings, along with fresh cream and jam scones, Victoria sandwich cake and trifle in individual portions. Cups of tea and Prosecco flowed with the help of Rita, Helen and Susan, who helped as additional waitresses in their aprons and headwear.
Doris was thrilled and reminisced about her whole life in splendour.
Both her and her daughters could not thank us enough, and now they all have some wonderful memories to share.
