On Monday 15th May we celebrated International Nurses’ Day as part of Dementia Awareness Week. We held a coffee morning and residents tried on a nurse’s hat. Then we had a nice natter over a cup of tea and some scrummy cakes. Everyone had a lovely time, and we thought it was a really nice way of helping everyone to spare a thought for people with dementia.
On Thursday 18th May, shortly after the real event, we decided we’d have our own celebration by having a Eurovision sing along with singer Annie. Just to add a bit of extra spice to the occasion, we all wore silly hats. And why not? They all seem to do a lot of daft things in the Eurovision song contest, so why shouldn’t we?
