Bake Off

The staff, residents and family members at Silver Lodge took part in a bake off competition last week. Our head cook was the judge and staff along with family members entered some amazing cakes and buns. 

The overall winner was Julie our Laundry Assistant who made a lovely chocolate orange cake, a strawberry Victoria sponge cake made by our Activities Co-coordinator Jane was a strong runner up and in 3rd place were some delicious chocolate and butterfly buns which had been made by a family member. 

Our residents spent the day being chief cake testers and we raised £34.30 for the Alzheimer's society.
