An Easter Egg hunt with a difference at St. Peter's

Wednesday, 10 May 2017

Staff and residents at St Peters were busy recently collecting Easter eggs on behalf of the Children’s ward at the Royal Victoria Infirmary in Newcastle.

Staff member Pia Coleman, who has started a scheme in the Home called Friends of St Peter’s, came up with the idea.

Over 80 eggs were collected, thanks to generous donations from staff, visitors and relatives.

Staff members and residents took the eggs up to the hospital, and although they weren’t allowed to go onto the ward itself, the nursing staff were delighted and overwhelmed to receive the eggs and assured everyone that all the children would be thrilled!

Pia has more projects in the pipeline, so watch this space!
