Elizabeth Hawkins, one of our residents at Ayresome Court Nursing Home recently received a very special letter.
Elizabeth struggles with her sight but never let's this stop her being active. She Elizabeth enjoys knitting, and her and a good friend, Dot Lloyd, decided to knit a teddy bear for the Queen.
The Queen was delighted with the gift, and replied to the two ladies with a letter! The letter has been framed and now has pride of place in our reception area.
Needless to say, we are very proud of our residents.
